Final Fantasy vs. Dragon Quest - Posted on July 18th, 2010 by gunsage

We all knew this was coming. About the only thing more epic would be Guitar Hero vs. Dance Dance Revolution…which doesn’t sound too bad either, but that will have to wait. I love Final Fantasy…as a series. Up until recently, I had sorta snubbed Dragon Quest. Oh, it’s not a bad series, no no…it’s just I only played the original for the NES, then 7 for the PS1 which I didn’t get into very much, so until I learned more about 8, I wasn’t exactly stoked.

Why Everyone Hates Dragon Quarter - Posted on February 26th, 2010 by gunsage

Introduction

An interesting question was posed on the most recent Wonderpod: do we weigh a game by its original series or as a standalone title? As much as I want to say that every game must be measured as a standalone title, meaning it doesn’t matter if all previous entries in a series have been excellent or made one way or whatever, sometimes it really does matter that a game is part of a series.

Obvious Reviews – Episode 2 - Posted on February 9th, 2010 by gunsage

Megaman X – Command Mission. This is not going to be easy to review. Through most of this review, I will likely be ranting about different cheezy and seemingly unnecessary features. At its core, MXCM sounds like something that’s been done before: a Megaman themed RPG. However, that also means it’s been done BETTER. But then again, this is Megaman X, not just Megaman and not Megaman.exe, which is about the most annoying name Megaman’s come across yet.
