First off, I enjoyed this episode. It was a wee bit longer than the average installment, but was not a problem. Lots of good banter.

I won't be commenting excessively as I often do. I would like to retort towards the question I poised. I am glad you guys did not interpret my musical background as a bias. I know musicians who do cater to the "why don't you learn to play REAL guitar angle." That's not my shtick. I'm all over the idea of the music game as a premise. For me, it's really just the time spent gaming versus playing my guitar. I can't justify it to myself, since I never find enough time in the week to do everything I'd like to. I'm sure you all can relate. And considering the added expense for the peripherals to do so, well I'd rather spend my hard earned money on other titles or musical gear. I've jumped on the microphone in Rock Band with my brother on occasion and tend to pull off a damn good rendition of "Epic" by Faith No More and the SouthPark "Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld." Otherwise, hey... to each their own. I've never found a ham sandwich in any of my instruments, and believe you me, if I did... well someone is getting their ass handed to them.

Regardless, the elitist musicians who miss the fact that gamers who enjoy such titles is actually pretty cool by me. Hey, I play other games to emulate my heroes elsewhere. For example, I love me some EA NHL hockey. I don't play professionally obviously, but video games let me emulate it. I don't fight zombies in day to day life (one day... crosses fingers), but Left 4 Dead let's me pretend that I do... that's the way I look at it. And by no means am I trying to diminish the fun of those titles. The elitist musicians who do are missing the point. Game on brothers and sisters. Have fun!

And I plan on picking up Reach on drop date (or very close to it). I already preordered NHL 2011 as well. I may very well pick up the next Assassin's Creed on drop (the online aspect is very appealing to me, so GS talk to me if you are doing the same... that might sway me).

Cosmonaut G out...

I'd say this is a fair representation of the week that was. As I mentioned to Jason, there was so much going on this week, and yet so little at all, that it made it very difficult to rank people. RAW was fun, but almost like a jam-packed version of iMPACT. A whole bunch of short matches with non-finishes for the 900th. As for iMPACT, it was typical of the criticism I make of RAW. And yet somehow, that made Smackdown the most significant show (which is odd these days). While I am following the ROH stuff via the dirtsheets, it is still so small a brand that I can't comment. 10 is the best Tyler Black should receive. What I am more interested in with Black is to what level he is pushed... we will have to wait and see since he hasn't even hit developmental yet...

Ha ha... Cosmonaut G signing in.... glad the transmission made it down there. Work is pretty abysmally boring up here on the so-called asteroid assignment. More or less what I was hoping for with answers to this weeks question. Thanks! Courtney won't leave me alone. She's got some great narcotics though...

I threw that idea at you guys about new guys, and didn't even consider all the other options via Wii and PC. In some ways this was sweet because I didn't even know about Civ 5. That is going to be my Pop's X-mas present for sure. He loves those games. I hate present scrounging, so kudos! Yep, my 63 year old Dad loves gaming too. So did his parents who gave me and my brother their Intellivision when we were little. 3rd gen gamer!!

I was pretty shocked by all the titles for 360 alone, and completely unsure of what route I am going other than satisfying my "quick-fix" games. Some days I work retarded hours, and only really get 1/2 hour of gaming in. Thus I want to own games I can pop in, and get a game that starts and ends in that time span. EA NHL 2011 is a perfect sports title for this (for me). For FPS, I think I am sticking with Halo. Halo 3 kind of let me down for this, but fuck it, the first day I got 3 (drop day), I logged on to play online at 12:30 AM MST and there were over 1 million people playing it online. The way I look at FPS online is that if you are purchasing it for the online experience, you have to get it early before the haxors and douchbags ruin it. I give Halo 4 months before it's ruined by assholes. That's worth $70 if you play everyday. After that, I'll milk the single player mode for all it's worth.

After that, I am definitely down for some Dead Rising 2... yes Bruce, you've got me pegged here. I might get it early, as I will be watching the sales that surely will be going on. Last year I scored a few brand new titles for almost 50% off. I am totally with ALL of you 3 in regards to having no chance at affording all of the games coming out. Fallout New Vegas and Assassin's Creed 3 are going to make their way into my game collection over the next while at some point. Same deal, watching the sales carefully. AND, there is a new Batman Arkham game down the stretch too... god damn it.

I will be trading in a whole lot of titles over the next week or so (NOT L4D 1 or 2), to prep up for Hockey and Halo. It is hard to do, but I know I'll never really go back to them... /super-long-comment.

Cosmo naught G ! Thanks again for your questions from space. When you get the time to listen you wil be OVERWHELMED with the number of games coming out in the next 3 months or so.... seriously and the industry is fighting used games?
For me personally the following games are very interesting and tempting for me to buy... Metroid Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby Epic Yarn, Goldeneye 007, Halo reach, COD whatever its called,MOH, Star Wars TFU2, Castlevainia....and MORE..... that’s OVER 600 dollars of games, just in 3 months. Its stupid , really.
As for you picking up halo reach! Sweet! Firefight should be our co-op game of choice my man! Hopefully we can get some other wonderpodites to join up, firefight 2.0 looks great. Not to mention the campaign is 4 player co-op and there are a massive amount of online modes. Oh and Forge world for those that want to take a crack at level design....cough cough.... Gunsage....cough cough... And my favourite feature, as you have seen in my beta video... Theatre Mode!

Space gets boring, plan on listening to this on tomorrow's asteroid scan... JCC is so demanding with his "data."

Hey, no reason you cannot revisit the games you missed over the next little while in the preview stuff (although I haven't heard it yet). Most stuff is far from out yet, and with the X-mas shopping mania coming, there's SO many good titles upcoming.

BTW Pat, I will likely sell-out and pick up Halo on drop (or so). FYI...

Me, being an idiot, sent my answers to the wrong person (sorry J). I did write'em, and here they are:

Which movies that were left off completely do you feel should have made the cut?
There's plenty. This project was sort of rushed, or so I felt. And
although initially picking 100 movies seemed daunting, after starting
it up... well I came up with more than 100. Then, after submitting my
list, I just kept coming up with more and more movies that should have
made my own list but were forgotten. Dimentia, I guess.
E.T.! Where the hell was this film? Considering all the love for the
nineteen-eighties films, I am a little shocked this one did not make
the cut.
Also, looking at the type of humour that got selected for comedies, I
am a bit shocked that neither of the Bill and Ted films were chosen.
That is kind of odd...
The Big Lebowski... where was this film?

Which movies ranked higher than you expected?
Return of the Jedi, for starters, out ranked the first Star Wars
film... really? I think went on a bit about this in the article
itself, so as not to be redundent...
I think almost all of us were pretty thrown off by Back to Future as well.
There were two films that I ranked pretty high on my own list, but
won't lie to you... I did not expect them to see the light of day.
These were UHF and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These were
pleasant surprises to see make the top 100.

Which movies ranked lower than you expected?
"Stand By Me," came up very very early and I found this rather
unsettling. Especially considering some of the other films in the
list outranking this fine film. I can only blame everyone else for
this, since I cannot be accountable for anything! Ha ha!
"Night of the Living Dead," surprised me with it's low ranking, but
being a zombie nerd... I expected this to rank far higher. While I
could see a number of films beating it out, I was put off that
everything else of zombie-relevance were comedic inclusions. Mind
you, I voted for all the zombie films in the final cut... so I can't
be too upset. Had it NOT made the list, I think I would have been
depressed.

Which movies did you forget on your individual submission that you
wish you had included?
Yes, there were plenty. In fact, I started a thread on the phorums
shortly after we started related to this called "Movies I Totally
Forgot to Put on my List..."
Some notables I mentioned were "Falling Down," "Half-Baked," and
"Maximum Overdrive." Some of the other crew on the site made some
valid points in this thread as well.

this, since I cannot be accountable for anything! Ha ha!
“Night of the Living Dead,” surprised me with it’s low ranking, but
being a zombie nerd… I expected this to rank far higher. While I
could see a number of films beating it out, I was put off that
everything else of zombie-relevance were comedic inclusions. Mind
you, I voted for all the zombie films in the final cut… so I can’t
be too upset. Had it NOT made the list, I think I would have been
depressed.

Which movies did you forget on your individual submission that you
wish you had included?
Yes, there were plenty. In fact, I started a thread on the phorums
shortly after we started related to this called “Movies I Totally
Forgot to Put on my List…”
Some notables I mentioned were “Falling Down,” “Half-Baked,” and
“Maximum Overdrive.” Some of the other crew on the site made some
valid points in this thread as well.

I'm banking on Gamer Dick in the HITC matchup. See, they just keep coming in waves those asshole gamers... I could fill up an episode of my own just on NHL 2010 alone but communication from this asteroid analysis waypoint is rather limited.

Speaking of which, thanks for the discussion on the competition question. I consider myself a recreational gamer, but really did enjoy the atmosphere of the gala. The ones Pat described at SouthCentre were first and foremost. I missed the one he went too in his anecdote, but totally remember the one for the newly released Super Mario 3/Tetris when I was kid. Speaking of older brothers who ruled at video games, my brother won that particular competition. I rarely ever beat my brother either, GunSage, yet generally beat his friends too. Interesting coincidence. If I have any skills (oh sorry, "skillz") gaming, I have to thank that guy.

Good ranting and raving this week. It was a fairly negative tirade of an episode, but I have no issues with that. Every criticism we heard tonight was pretty fucking valid. So kudos gentlemen... you made the grueling space-walk far more enjoyable! Smiley-faces and shit!

RVD did admit he wanted a limited schedule before and after he returned. The problem is, with a limited schedule is how to you utilize him in a long term storyline? Especially if he's carrying the championship. I suspect the title run was to boost ratings and get shock value, and then coincided with the ECW thing. Of course, the so-called contract clause isn't "official" knowledge.

I read an interview with Bischoff about a week ago... when the question about RVD's future was posed, Eric bluntly responded, "He needs to take some time off." Nothing more, nothing less.

I didn’t watch this weeks episode, and it turns out Im glad. Getting rid of RVD is lame, and he prob could have worked more dates, if he really wanted to, for extra cash. Im not sold on Flairs group here, maybe in time they will lose the 6 11 waste of space.

Those titles are pretty gaudy and generic looking. It goes to show you how far the division has truly fallen. It would've been nice to stick with one of the two previous ones and just move on.

It was nice of the people who run his hyperbolic chamber to let Jon Lovitz out for a night of wrestling.

Also, here's a closer view of the new Tag Titles. Honestly, they look like something made on the Create-A-Title feature they used to have on SmackDown vs. RAW video games:

The question indeed is whether or not people will remember the tag match on TNA. As of today, it is surely a MYOT candidate, thus my votes were skewed in that order. When I started voting in this project, the "team" aspect was not regarded, thus I stopped voting for "Nexus" early. But this week, we see a lumping. The voting system is evolving. For those on the Wonderboy side of things, here is G's list from 1 - 10 respectively:

Alex Shelley
Chris Sabin
James Storm
Robert Rhoode
Rob Van Dam
John Cena
Kane
Randy Orton
The Miz
Rey Mysterio

I agree. Seeing more matches this Monday was sweet! While they can't run that particular storyline weekly, they certainly could pull off similar programming. I was also wondering for the longest time if they were even going to draw attention to Jon Lovitz since I picked him out right at the start... took about 90 minutes. It would've been priceless if they had not said a thing!

Good topics this week. Enjoyed the listen as I terrorized the streets of Calgary in my deathmobile! Ghosts and Goblins was a good choice, I remember doing okay at it in the arcade, but really don't know about the difficulty difference. It wouldn't shock me if the cabinet was tougher. I've certainly played worse "coin-eaters" (or maybe I was just better than I realized at this title than others I played in the arcades).

Well, it was a doozy considering that WWE kept their holding pattern for this Sunday's SummerSlam, while TNA pulled the trigger on their controversial PPV. As a result, it would make sense that RVD would get some love... My picks to represent the other poller on Project Wonderboy are as follows (1 - 10):

Rob Van Dam
Kane
Randy Orton
The Miz
Rey Mysterio
John Cena
Bret Hart
Sheamus
C.M. Punk
Edge
Chris Jericho

I want to argue that tagteams need to be represented better in the poll though. The MCMG's and Beer Money! put on a fantastic show tonight. More to follow on PW. I had to make a couple edits due to some issues with my review. Great job as always Mr. Mann!
