Hey pricks, JCC here to introduce you to the newest writer for Project Wonderboy: The7thLevel. You might remember him from one of our biggest affiliates ever, the7thlevel.com, or from his PW debut, a review of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. Well, he also does loads of gaming videos, and today he’s sharing the inaugural episode of his new video series, “Don’t Buy This Shit” with what should be a controversial choice: Halo 3. Hit the jump to check it out.

The conference championships took place two weeks ago, and the luck was not going my way. You may recall, I took the Colts to win, but the Jets to cover the spread. I also took the Saints to win by at least 4. Both of them took the victories, but New York failed to cover, and New Orleans won by only 3. So I ended the week 2-0 straight up, but 0-2 against the spread, where it actually counts. Well played odds makers, well played.
As for the Pro Bowl last week, the TV ratings somehow went up, despite the fact that basically nobody gives a fuck. Especially when only 1 of the 6 quarterbacks voted in actually bothers to play, that being Aaron Rodgers. The AFC took the game by a score of 41-34, in the shootout type of game which was basically expected by everyone. Which brings us to Super Bowl Sunday. Many people are expecting the scoreboard at LandShark Sun Life Stadium to get a workout. Let’s hope this game joins the two overtime games as the only somewhat memorable games of the playoffs.

So basically I’ve been working on this game for a while, but hadn’t invested a lot of time into it. However, now that I have plenty of time on my hands, I’ve been working on it quite a bit! This is a recent demo showcasing different stuff you can do and how the game will work. Also check out these threads for more info.

Again, I went into overdrive and made another long review, this time it is Smackdown. Plus, I will include a bunch of the usual weekly stuff like “Other News” and “Recommended Reading.” Charles Barkley tries to sneak in with out a ticket as well… It’s another review (not a recap) by a self-admitted smark asshole! Total Nonstop Action is on TV! Let’s go! And hey kids!?!? Logic generally does not prevail here! Swerves!! Action!! POW!! SWOOSH!! BAM!!

ZLOTT!!!!!
I find it somewhat hilarious that Quentin Tarantino, who got his start in the movie business renting every shitty film known to man from the video store he worked in, is now looked upon as some kind of modern day auteur of the medium. I see a lot of trumped up adjectives slung around his name, like “edgy” and “witty” and “biting” and “swallowing” (okay, so I made that one up.) But with the exception of a just a couple of the films he’s been involved with, the majority of them fail to live up to the lofty heights of his undeserved reputation. And Inglorious Basterds is well within the majority. Read more »

-It’s the most wonderful time of the wrestling year! WrestleMania time! That means, for two sweet, sweet months, the brand split does not exist, and the wrestlers are free to be on whatever show they wanna be on! And I like that a whole lot! RAW TIME!
This show was a complete and total cluster fuck. The only reason it ended up that way was because of me. From recording to editing to now posting I have made a shit ton of mistakes. To sum it up I have the following equation, Alcohol+Computers+internet= FUBAR. My co-hosts in this endeavor deserve your sympathy as they went above and beyond to even get 45 minutes worth of audio. I would also like to give special thanks to G for giving me advice and tips. Hopefully this one is at least a little louder. I would also like to thank Red bull, Folgers and my bed which I hope to be in at a decent hour at some point this week. Anyhoo we discussed

Are videogames art? Naturally, a lot of us would say yes, but then that’s because A) we’re biased and B) we can cite examples. Now, because of B, we would assume that we’re right and would likely shove that in peoples’ faces that “don’t know any better.” However, perhaps there’s some truth to videogames not really being art. I’m going to be looking at this from multiple angles and comments, so try to keep up.
